Release 2.3.5
This is an urgent bugfix release, primarily to address 2 issues:
- A correction to accommodate a previously-unnoticed change in
the underlying Sword search mechanism, so as to prevent a crash.
- A fix to the build procedure to accommodate certain fairly common
Linux architectures, notably recent Ubuntu.
As well, a few other useful bugfixes to font handling, advanced search,
and sparse Bible handling are included.
See the download page. The recent activity page shows the ongoing status and work expended on GnomeSword.
Please let us know of anything and everything that you think is not right or which needs feature enhancement, via the tracker page.
Further releases
The current plan is that the 2.3.x series are test and evaluation
releases, working toward a 2.4 "stable" release. There are
just a couple of outstanding bugs which will be dealt with as promptly
as we reasonably can. Further suggestions for improvement are always
most welcome.
GnomeSword requires Sword 1.5.11 in order to build.
